Having been looking on here for a few weeks now, I’ve managed to hook a consultation in Manchester on Tuesday 12 th February
I’m exited but also worried.
I have scalp psoriasis and am worried that they won’t be able to do it .
I did enquire via the chat section on here, and they said yes. But worried the ink will sit on top of the loose skin or fade when skin sheds.
I’m also concerned that I won’t be able to loose the hat once it’s done.
I’ve worn it that many years that no one ever sees me without it.
Even my missus hardly sees me hatless.
Fist thing i do is pop it on as soon as I get up.
Got to the point that I refuse to look in mirror, and that’s hard when shaving.
I guess it’s now a psychological problem for me, I would hate to blow all this money then not be able to walk out head held high.04/02/2014 at 7:35 pm #28897PeterJonesParticipant
That’s a heartbreaking story markyb. I haven’t had the treatment but have similar concerns to you about it suiting me. You have the skin condition on top of this also. Hope the consultation is good for you.05/02/2014 at 8:07 pm #28901

All the best markyb. Hope the consultation goes well. They are caring guys and I’m sure they will be honest with you.08/02/2014 at 9:18 pm #28924
got appointment this tuesday, anything i need to know before i go
i know ill forget what i want to ask when i go
how long does it take and do they do test patch on this day08/02/2014 at 9:52 pm #28925CurlyParticipant
The consultation I had was very informal and very relaxed. They go through everything you need to no about the treatment and the questions will come into your head I’m sure. I was never offered a Patch Test but then again I never asked. I’d check and see if they will and if it will cost anything. They offer a free mock up though so you can see what you look like. All the best.10/02/2014 at 1:21 pm #28934Baldy01Participant
All the best tomorrow Markyb. I am sure the guys at Skalp will be honest with you if it will work or not. When having my consultation and treatment I was advised that Skin condition is very important for the treatment and can cause issues if your skin isn’t in good condition. Hopefully yours will be ok.10/02/2014 at 7:21 pm #28935
Finally plucked up courage to go for consultation but could get knocked back because of having psoriosis
Think I’ll be gutted if that happens10/02/2014 at 7:59 pm #28936
Assuming all goes well tomorrow, do you need to choose colour/ style then
Do they have a book of hairlines, or do you need to take pictures in10/02/2014 at 10:19 pm #28939m41Participant
No they won’t determine hairline and colour until you go for your first session, but you can certainly talk about it. All the consultation will be for is to ask questions and find out if you’re suitable or not. I didn’t see a book of hairlines when I was there. I Hope everything is good for you markyb.10/02/2014 at 10:22 pm #28940
any idea what percentage of people are not suitable10/02/2014 at 10:24 pm #28941m41Participant
I haven’t a clue? I’d ask your consultant when you go in as they will no more than me.10/02/2014 at 10:25 pm #28944
