NHS Recognise Scalp Micropigmentation

30/10/2013

The NHS has formally recognised Scalp Micropigmentation as a solution for hair loss. Scalp Micropigmentation is a revolutionary technique to target hair loss in men, which involves ‘tattooing’ the scalp to give the impression of a full head of shaved hair.

For decades, those suffering from hair loss have had few realistic solutions, many being expensive and with mixed and risky results. Hair transplants have been favoured by many, along with medicinal and herbal remedies, however Scalp Micropigmentation is now recommended by the NHS as an affordable alternative to the above.

Skalp have years of experience and many happy clients that would agree this decision by the NHS is a positive one. With Scalp Micropigmentation, those suffering from hair loss are now offered the option to personalise their hair; through hairline, density and colour.

As the treatment is essentially using ink to mark the scalp and give the impression of a full head of cropped hair, it is also possible to remove the colouring if perhaps you’re looking for a different hairline to keep up with the trends. The hairline is removed and in the same fashion as a tattoo, by using a laser.

Skalp offer a free consultation which can be held in person at one of our 3 UK clinics, or via Skype for international clients. We also offer the option to complete your treatment in the comfort of your own home.
