The latest treatment for Male Pattern Baldness: Micro Pigmentation

27/05/2015

It has been a curse for guys the world over ever since we have been painting on cave walls and rubbing sticks together to make fire. It’s intriguing that even though it has such a powerful negative social effect on men of all ages, we still struggle with the symptoms and awkwardly mess with some quite odd cures.

Well, there is no cure but there is a way to put it all behind you and start living the kind of life that you always wanted.

Micro Pigmentation is the brand new treatment for those individuals who are suffering from hair loss (especially male pattern baldness) and want to take action now. Skalp® is the leader in providing the treatment in the UK and we are proud to say we have Micro Pigmentation clinics in London Manchester and Edinburgh.

What is Micro Pigmentation?

To see more about how the procedure works please go to our treatment page , but in a nutshell: Skalp® Micro Pigmentation (medical hairline tattoo) is the ultimate in non-surgical male and female scalp grooming; an incredible life-changing treatment where natural pigments are applied at the epidermal level of the scalp to replicate the natural appearance of real hair follicles or strands – depending on your hair loss extent, and desired look. Our method is regarded as the best treatment of its kind available in the world today, using only natural pigments and application methods.

What are the symptoms and concerns of Male pattern Baldness?

Male Pattern Baldness is hereditary. Also called Androgenetic Alopecia it begins to thin in two separate places on the scalp at the same time: at the sides of the head by the temples, and on the crown of the head. As the hair thins on top, a bald patch gradually appears on the top of the head as the sides are receding. The bald patch enlarges and meets with the receding sides and eventually joins together so leaving a patch at the front of the head. The front then begins to thin so leaving a rim of hair round the sides and the back of the head. As time passes the remaining hair will also thin leading to complete baldness.

Male Pattern Baldness or thinning hair obviously has its negative physical effects, but also attached to this is a much more surreptitious psychological effect which can be detrimental to social functioning. Men tend to lose confidence in their appearance, may feel inadequate next to their peers and so retract from normal social functioning.

How can Skalp® Micro Pigmentation help?

Micro Pigmentation offers sufferers of Male Pattern Baldness a real way out. It is not a cure but creates the illusion that you have a full head of hair and have decided to go with the new “shaven head fashion”. Suddenly, you are back in fashion. You have a hairstyle which is easy to manage, and your self-confidence gets a great boost (take a look at our testimonials for some of the feedback we have been receiving).
